I've been offering a Travel Photography workshop here on Bainbridge Island for the past several years. I've designed the workshop specifically for those who are going on various vacations where photograph is but one element of the trip. Professional travel photographers live and breath photography 18/7 (got to get a little sleep in) and are up before dawn and still editing late into the night. Travel photography books have also been oriented in large part to the 18/7 photographer rather than the non-professional, the one who loves to travel and loves to take photographs but isn't doing it for a client. This is, most of us! I've taken my thoughts and ideas and concepts on what I call Vacation Photography and put them onto a dedicated website: http://vacationphotography101.weebly.com/.
I hope you have a chance to look at the material and maybe gain an insight or two that will help you come back from your next trip relaxed and with a couple of "icon" photographs as well! Journey On!
